Professional Development for the Information Professional

This session will challenge attendees to imagine their own professional development path. We'll compare and contrast different resources for professional development, including certifications, certificates, and microlearning. We'll review some low- to no-cost materials and methods and discuss options for how to pay for other resources. We'll also present a learning framework for the modern information professional that identifies different focus areas for growth and learning that attendees can use to start building their individual professional development plans. Attendees will also receive an editable professional development plan matrix.
